Thank you for your interest in LINKTools® Iinterface
Technologies. The following tutorial will help you familiar
with the LINKTools® applications and its functionalities,
this tutorial shows how LINKTools® is used in real-world
interfacing environments connecting Diagnostic Medical Instruments
and systems with Hospital Information and EMR systems.
The first part of this tutorial is focus on LINKTools®
HL7 TCP/IP communication drivers, the second part is focus
on LINKTools® HL7 Mapper and how to create an interface
template, the last part is focus on LINKTools® interface
utilities uses to maintain, automate and trouble shooting
your interface.
LINKTools® IDK_Installation
You can download
the LINKTools® IDK software from this web site or if you
had LINKTools® IDK CD-ROM version please follow the following
installation steps to install your interface software:

Place the LINKTools® IDK CD-ROM into
the CD-ROM Drive

Click on " Install LINKTools®
IDK " to begin software installation
- Follow on screen wizard
- Choose if you want to install MySQL database software,
MySQL is used as LINKTools® Intermediate database when
Bi-directional interface is needed, a free copy of MySQL
can be downloaded from MYSQL web site, click on the URL
link to download MySQL software
- If the PC disable the Autorun feature do the following
a)- Right-click on the START Menu and select Explore
b)- Highlight the CD-ROM Drive that contains LINKTools®
IDK CD-ROM
c)- Locate the LINKTools® IDK setup icon
d)- Double-Click on the Setup icon to begin the LINKTools®
IDK installation
- Follow on screen wizard
- DO NOT change the interface default installation directory:
C:\LINKMED\
- Call LINK Medical registration line at 1-888-893-0900
or 1+ 781-453-0300 to obtain your extension or permanent
registration numbers (no registration numbers required for
the first 30 day after installation)
