LINKTools® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver communicate with remote
systems through TCP/IP socket connections. HL7 messages can
be wrapped using HL7 MLLP protocols or user-defined protocols
(headers and trailers). The LINKTools® TCP/IP Receiver's
communication protocol is configured in the Receiver Configuration
Options window
LINKTools® TCP/IP Receiver can receive information in
virtually any formats over any protocols, effectively bridging
other systems with the LINKTools® Interface environment.
The following are two types of LINKTools® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver
being used in HL7 interface:
File-based Receiver: Coverts inbound HL7 streem
to HL7 message
Mapper-based Receiver: Parses inbound HL7 stream
directly to LINKTools® interface intermediate database
and client's SQL database or to output directory
- LINKTools® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver features:
- Accepts all HL7 message types and automatically validates
and sends standard HL7 message acknowledgements back
to client's senders.
- Accepts multiple connections and route messages to
user-defined destinations
- Accepts HL7 query message and sends HL7 query response
- Can be configured for application level message validation
and message filtering
- Built-in firewall allows the receiver to accept messages
only from a pre-defined IP addresses
- Can be configured to receive non-HL7 messages send
via TCP/IP user-defined protocols such as XML documents,
Words documents, PDF documents, etc.
- Directly reads and writes HL7 data to SQL database
or to LINKTools® Interface intermediate database
(Mapper- based Receiver)
- Runs un-obstructively as service
