LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP_Receiver
_Introduction

LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver communicate with remote systems through TCP/IP socket connections. HL7 messages can be wrapped using HL7 MLLP protocols or user-defined protocols (headers and trailers). The LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver's communication protocol is configured from the Receiver Options window
LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver can receive information(in addition to HL7 message) in virtually any formats over any protocols, effectively bridging other systems with the LINKMED® Interface environment.
The following are two types of LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver being used in HL7 interface:
File-based Receiver: Receives and creates HL7 message from inbound message stream
Mapper-based Receiver: Parses inbound HL7 stream directly to LINKMED® intermediate database or client's SQL database and output directory

  1. LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver features:
    • Accepts all HL7 message types and automatically validates and sends standard HL7 message acknowledgements back to client's senders.
    • Accepts multiple connections and route messages to user-defined destinations
    • Accepts HL7 query message and sends HL7 query response
    • Can be configured for application level message validation and message filtering
    • Built-in firewall allows the receiver to accept messages only from a pre-defined IP addresses
    • Can be configured to receive non-HL7 messages send via TCP/IP user-defined protocols such as XML documents, Words documents, PDF documents, etc.
