Testing the LINKMED® Interface System
After installing, registering and configuring the LINKMED® Interface, use the following procedures to test the system
Note: You can create both test interface environment and production interface environment on the same LINKMED® Interface server (cost-effective), however your test system may needs a separate LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver and Transmitter to communicate with your client test system. You can purchase additional licenses of the LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver and Transmitter pack for this purpose
To test the LINKMED® Interface System
The following described LINK Medical recommended steps when testing your LINKMED® Interface System

  1. Configure the Inbound communication (TCP/IP Receiver) to receive and send HL7 Acknowledgements for HL7 ADT or Order messages
  2. Start the LINKMED® Scheduler (pre-configured interface only) for inbound interface
  3. Download some orders using WebSelect client application or import parsed data to your system
  4. Configure the output template or transcription template if required
  5. Perform an outbound test result reporting or transcribed report by uploading the report files to LINKMED® Interface Module and generate HL7 result message (ORU or MDM)
  6. Verify that the HL7 result message is configured according to the customer's requirements if not adjust the Result Mapper Template if necessary
