LINKMED® IE_Interface Folders and Applications

Upon successful installation of the LINKMED® IE software, installers should familiar themselves with the LINKMED® Interface folders and interface applications.
The following describes LINKMED® interface folders and interface applications.
  1. Default Interface directory: C:\LINKMED
    Note:
    LINKMED® interface folder must be installed to C Drive
  2. LINKMED® IE Interface's folder and Sub-folders:
    The following folders are used to store temporary interface messages before process by the LINKMED® interface Engine
    • LINKMED (C:\LINKMED), LINKMED® Interface folder
    • CFGLINK Folder: This folder contains LINKMED® Inbound and Outbound interface folders and interface applications
    • Archive! Folder: This folder keeps all interface transaction's logs
    • Backup Folder: This folder keeps backup copies of LINKMED® Inbound and Outbound interface transactions
    • BackupMySQLDB Folder: This folder keeps backup copies of LINKME® Intermediate interface databases and application to restore the database when needed
    • Documents Folder: Contains LINKMED® IE User Guide (PDF) and LINKMED® software version text file
    • LTconvert Folder: Contains LINKMED® application uses to convert Microsoft® word document to text file for HL7 interface
    • LTInsert Folder: This folder contains LINKMED® application uses to insert and update parsed data to vendor's database (SQL, ODBC, CSV...etc.)
    • OrderLNK! U Folder: This folder is used by LINKMED® interface for "Result Reconciliation Module", this folder is the default dump location for result that need to be reconciled with order (order sent after result is reported)
    • WebSelect Folder: LINKMED® Web-based interface applications uses to execute command calll triggered by user from LINKMED® Select client

LINKMED® Inbound Interface Folders:

    • OrderR Folder: This folder is used by the LINKMED® Inbound interface as a point where HL7 message is created by the receiver or parsed directly into LINKMED® Interface intermediate database..
      Option 1: LINKMED® File-based HL7 TCP/IP Receiver:
      HIS
      sends HL7 message via TCP/IP -----> LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver ------- > Creates HL7 message and output to OrderR folder or

      Option 2: LINKMED® Mapper-based HL7 TCP/IP Receiver:

      HIS
      sends HL7 message via TCP/IP -----> LINKMED® HL7 TCP/IP Receiver ------- > LINKMED® Interface Intermediate Database

      Note:
      Mapper-based Receive uses this directory folder as output, however there is no HL7 message created (HL7 messages are parsed directly into LINKMED® Interface intermediate database)

    • OrderS Folder: This folder is the default location for internal communication of LINKTools® interface, and is used for inbound parsed HL7 messages for LTInsert application or vendor's import application
