LINKMED® Message Mapper_HL7 Segment Field Mapping
Learning HL7 Field Mapping detail by taking LINKMED® IE Training Class
The HL7 Field Mapping is used for data manipulation, learning how this work required attending the LINKMED® training class, since interfaces are varies from one vendor to another, interface mapping for vendor's systems and applications are also varies. The following are examples of Mapper field Mapping functions:
  • Moving Data from one field to another
  • Creating new compatible HL7 message for target system from input HL7 message that is not compatible with the target system
  • Concatenated multiple fields data and output data to one field
  • Creating new message format from the input format
  • Calculating and converting value from one measurement to anther
  • Translate one system result value to another system value (Mapper dictionary)
Before you begin:
You need the following information to start your interface template field Mapping:
  • You have HL7 sample messages sent from your client HIS/EMR systems
  • You have selected HL7 segments from the LINKMED® HL7 library and begin to configure your interface template
  • You are able to locate the LINKMED® Message Mapper "File Rules and Field Rules" options and understand basic LINKMED® Interface Engine Tags functionalities
  • You have interface Mapping logic (or list) on information needed for your system
