LINKMED® HL7
LINKMED® HL7 is a Bi-directional HL7 interface and workflow enhancement connecting Diagnostic Medical Devices and Systems to HIS, RIS, PACS and EMR systems
Overview:
LINKMED® HL7 allows HL7 ADT messages transferred from the HIS or EMR Systems to Diagnostic Medical Devices automatically, eliminating manual data entry errors and reports output.
LINKMED® HL7 for Diagnostic Medical Device and System interface accepts standard HL7 ADT messages from the HIS or EMR Systems into LINKMED® Server, Patient demographics can then be accessed and downloaded to devices from any workstation using a web browser to view the work list using LINKMED® WebSelect application
Inbound Interface:
LINKMED® HL7 for Diagnostic Medical Device and System interface allows patient demographics to download to Diagnostic Medical Devices such as Patient Monitors or Vital-Signs device directly or through work list pick. Patient demographics information can also be accessed or sent directly to pre-defined "Device’s Inbox"
Outbound Interface:
Test Results are sent from Diagnostic Medical device or workstations to LINKMED® interface server (or Vendor data server) via LAN, Wireless network, HL7 result messages are created and send to the HIS or EMR systems automatically or can be configured to send by date and time range.

LINKMED® HL7 Interface for Diagnostic Medical Device and System Features:

  • Eliminates manual entry of patient demographics into ECG Cardiographs, Patient Monitors or other Diagnostic Medical Devices.
  • Convenient Work-list for Technicians to pick and import patient's demographics from LINKMED® Select application or Demographics can be sent directly to pre-defined inbox shared-folder directories for access or import to devices.
  • Automatically updates patient information upon receiving updated HL7 ADT
  • Works with both HL7 ADT alone or combined HL7 ADT/Order messages.
  • Increases charge capture for Billing
  • Automatically converts HL7 messages to DICOM Files for modalities work list and converts DICOM reports to HL7 result messages or DICOM <--> DICOM (For DICOM modality'sInterface)
  • HL7 Billing interface (DFT^P03), LINKMED® HL7 ADT/Order can be configured to send separate technical and professional billing messages.
  • Provides effective solutions for test done on the fly with "Result Reconciliation" module so users can reconcile their test results to the correct orders.
  • HL7 result (ORU) message can be customized to include single or multiple sessions from Cardiac-Rehab stress-test reports.
  • HL7 result message (ORU) of patient Vital Signs (telemetry) report can be configured to send automatically at pre-defined time interval to Vendor's server and the HIS or upon receiving "HL7 Result Query" request from the HIS or EMR Systems.

  • Compatible with HL7 version 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.3.1, 2.4, 2.4.1, 2.5 and 2.6 (HL7 version 3 ready when available).
  • Accepting both HL7 ADT or HL7 ADT/Order messages.
  • Accepting European GDT format (GDT to HL7 and HL7 to GDT).
  • Sending HL7 Result (ORU) and Billing (DFT) message automatically via TCP/IP socket connection.
  • Billing messages can be batched and ftp transfer or send real-time via TCP/IP socket connection.
  • Optional Cold-feed of studies TIFF, PDF Images to McKESSON HPF and other systems.
  • HL7 result message can be customized to meet HIS or EMR systems requirements (down to HL7 segment's field level), thus eliminating any re-mapping of HL7 messages by the hospital HIS interface team.
  • DICOM report for RIS, PACS
  • Report can also be configured to view and print from LINKME® WebSelect client via internet browser.
